TL;DR

  • No ad money ran on 23 October. The last real spend was 19 October, when the $200 cap was hit.
  • The test numbers are final: 17,319 views, 364 link clicks, 55 cents a click, a 2.10% click rate.
  • Halfsies 1.3.2 for Android went to Google for review on 23 October, in 177 countries plus the rest of the world.
  • Nothing in the ad account was changed today. The next move is Joseph's: a second test, or not.

Meta has spent nothing on Halfsies since 21 October. The game went the other way: version 1.3.2 for Android is now with Google for review.

Halfsies ad diary number 6: ads off, Android in review. $0.00 spent on 23 October, $200.00 in total, Android release covers 177 countries, version 1.3.2 on both phones

A quiet day in Ads Manager

We opened Ads Manager this morning and read every ad for 23 October. All six showed $0.00. The campaign still says Active, but it has no budget left, so Meta has nothing to spend. The last cents went out on 20 and 21 October.

Spend per day from 11 to 23 October: about $20 a day for the broad US audience, $19 to $34 a day for gamers, then cents on 20 and 21 October and nothing on 22 and 23 October
Spend per day, 11 to 23 October.

Our rule for pausing a bad ad needs at least $5 of new spend to judge it. With no spend there is nothing to judge, so no ad was paused and nothing was edited. The draft reel ad stays a draft.

The final ad numbers

These are the same as yesterday, which is the point. A closed test should not move.

The full breakdown, including broad against gamer audiences, is in diary #5. With the ads off, new players dropped off too. That was expected, and it is why the next piece of news matters.

Halfsies is on its way to Android

On 23 October the Android build of Halfsies 1.3.2 went to Google for review. It is the same version that has been on the App Store since 22 October: the seven trick shots, the restored hats and badges, the extra replay.

iPhone: App Store, version 1.3.2 live since 22 October, $200 Meta test from 11 to 21 October. Android: Google Play, version 1.3.2 sent for review on 23 October, 177 countries plus the rest of the world

The release asks for a full rollout in 177 countries and regions, plus Google's "rest of world" setting. Google may still come back with questions. Until it approves the build, Halfsies is not on the Play Store for the public.
